Angle Error in any Radar Gun operation is common to the workings of the unit. The proper placement of any Sports Radar Gun will provide the most accurate readings. Placing a radar gun in the direct line of the object wether in front or in back of the target will give the highest in accuracy. In a baseball radar gun application is best that the gun be held/ placed directly behind the catcher from behind the backstop or behind the pitcher. The less the radar is directly in front of or directly behind the object, the lower the measured speed ( cosign effect). An angle error of about 25 degrees equates to about a 10% error. The Stalker Pro 2 radar gun offers a new setting that reduces angel error during operation.
